"Head guide Pam maintained a perfect balance between safety conscientiousness, chef, and social director. I was quite appreciative of Pam's direct, to-the-point safety talk that educated but didn't frighten. On the river, she made sure that everyone knew the safest way to proceed... On land, she made us all aware of the basic dangers, but let us play and enjoy ourselves. This was actually very important, as I've taken girls to a scout camp where literally no one was allowed to run or even stand on rocks because someone might get hurt. "

"[I most enjoyed the chance] to venture into a unique environment with knowledgeable and experienced guides! The herd of bighorn sheep were very healthy and the sighting of a bald eagle in a cottonwood tree watching us float by was exceptional."

Our guides are the people that make the difference. They are mature, competent, fun-loving individuals that elevate a good trip into a great one! All are successful in their own careers and have chosen to guide with Centennial for the pure joy of working with people and being outdoors on the water. Our guides come from careers as geologists, teachers, professional photographers, information system engineers, lawyers, pilots, entrepreneurs, etc. Many of our 45+ guide staff have been with us for years. All have completed First Aid and CPR training. Many also hold Wilderness First Responder, Swift Water Rescue, and American Canoe Association certification. Safety is our primary concern and our guides are very experienced; all of our Head Guides have logged over 500 river miles.
