This trip pairs some of Colorado’s finest wines and scenery. Balistreri Vineyards of Denver, Colorado, will co-sponsor and help facilitate this delightful weekend of wine tasting and education. Balistreri Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery dedicated to making fine quality wine. Balistreri’s wines are made completely natural, with a very approachable easy drinking style. They combine both traditional wine-making methods and modern technology to produce award winning wines; hand-crafted, one barrel at a time, with grapes that are fermented on their own yeast, unaltered by sulfites, unfiltered, and aged in American oak. Balistreri wines have won numerous awards from regional to international competitions. During happy hour and the evening meal, they will feature their favorites and provide insight into the Colorado wine industry, discuss different grapes and the making of wine, explain how to correctly taste wine and successfully pair it with food. Feel free to bring friends not going on the canoe trip. Adults only please.
