Colorado canoeing on the Gunnison River will spark your sense of adventure with opportunities for hiking and exploring in one of Colorado's newest Wilderness Areas, Dominguez Canyon, floating in your lifejacket and camping along the river’s edge. With guide Bob Raynolds, Denver Museum Earth Sciences Research Associate, marvel at colorful sandstone walls hundreds of feet high and explore canyons and ancient rock art.

Breckenridge Brewery will be facilitating and providing beer samples on this CO canoe trip. Learn about the microbrew industry while paddling through majestic walls of red sandstone and enjoying camaraderie with fellow beer lovers. The Colorado River offers some of the best canoeing in Colorado. You’ll be amazed at stands of shiny granite sculpted by water through the ages as you paddle past the remnants of ancient metamorphic rock, called Black Rock.

This unique adventure will take you down a spectacular 60-mile section of the Green River in Utah from Crystal Geyser to Mineral Bottom just north of Canyonlands National Park. You’ll learn about the unique geological features that make the Colorado Plateau so special while also learning about the geology on Mars. This is definitely a trip of a lifetime.

Geography Professor, Dr. James Dunn, University of Northern Colorado, will be facilitating this trip as you learn about the power of water, wind, and weathering in a western environment. Labs and field exercises will be conducted throughout the trip as appropriate. This trip is for UNC college students, alumni, and adult public.

This trip is not just about canoeing through magnificent red sandstone canyons, hiking in Wilderness Areas and enjoying good food, scenery, and friends. We also add a little spice with a variety of games such as Dead Fish Polo, Win It in a Minute, Scavenger Hunt, etc. Sure to bring a lot of laughs for all ages.

The Tito Salas star gazing trip has become a yearly tradition and sells out fast. Tito makes astronomy interesting and most of all FUN for all ages. Away from all the city lights, the wilderness night sky is unbelievably clear allowing us to gaze at the constellations, Milky Way, and maybe galaxies beyond!
