These pristine waters are host to over 80 resident orca whales plus minke whales, harbor and Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, river otters and a variety of bird life. With sublime views of Mt. This unique adventure will take you down a spectacular 60-mile section of the Green River in Utah from Crystal Geyser to Mineral Bottom just north of Canyonlands National Park. You’ll learn about the unique geological features that make the Colorado Plateau so special while also learning about the geology on Mars. This is definitely a trip of a lifetime.

Geography Professor, Dr. James Dunn, University of Northern Colorado, will be facilitating this trip as you learn about the power of water, wind, and weathering in a western environment. Labs and field exercises will be conducted throughout the trip as appropriate. This trip is for UNC college students, alumni, and adult public.
